Overview

AIRWOODS integrative VOCs (volatile organic compounds) condensate and recovery unit adopts mechanical refrigeration and multistage continuous cooling to reduce VOCs temperature. Heat exchange between refrigerant and volatile gas in specially designed heat exchanger. Refrigerant takes the heat from volatile gas and makes its temperature reaching dew point to different pressure. The organic volatile gas is condensed into liquid and separated from air. The process is continuous, and the condensate is charged into tank directly without secondary pollution. After the low temperature clean air reaches ambient temperature by heat exchange, it is finally discharged from terminal. The unit is applicable in volatile organic exhaust gas treatment, connected with petrochemicals, synthetic materials, plastic product, equipment coating, package printing, etc. This unit can not only treat organic gas safely and increase the utilization efficiency of VOCs resource significantly, but also bring considerate economic benefits. Working Principle

AIRWOODS integrative VOCs condensate and recovery unit utilizes and refrigeration technology, cooling the VOCs gradually from ambient temperature to -20C~-75C. VOCs is recovered after being liquefied and separate from air. The whole process is recyclable, including condensation, separation and recovery continuously. Finally the volatile gas is qualified to be discharged.

Refrigeration

Based on the technology of cascade refrigeration-overlapping cooling, it provides multistage continuous cold fields for the VOCs recovery system. Circulating refrigerant enters the compressor and is compressed to a high pressure and high temperature. That hot vapor is routed through a condenser where it is cooled and condensed into a liquid with low temperature and high pressure.

The condensed liquid refrigerant is next routed through an expansion valve where it undergoes an abrupt reduction pressure. That pressure reduction results in the adiabatic flash evaporation of a part of the liquid refrigerant. The liquid and vapor refrigerant mixture is then routed through evaporator. The volatile gas in the enclosed space across the coil or tubes evaporates the cold refrigerant liquid and vapor mixture. At the same time, the volatile gas is cooled. The vapor pressure change according to different temperature. Temperature deduction turns volatile gas components into saturated state. It is condensed into liquid for direct recovery. Afterwards, the low concentration gas is qualified to be discharged or is routed into the next processing. To complete the refrigerant cycle, the refrigerant vapor form the evaporator is again a saturated vapor and routed back into the compressor for cycle. The whole system recycles in above process, and achieves the purpose of continuously temperature reduction ans VOCs recovery.

Procedure:
1. VOCs from the airtight collection pipe go into pre-cooler. The gas temperature reduces to 4℃. Most water are separated and removed.
2. The uncondensed gas from first step goes into shallow cooler. The gas temperature reduces to -30℃. The condensate is separated from the bottom of shallow cooler and filled into the oil-gas separating tank.
3. The uncondensed gas from second step goes into deep cooler. The gas temperature reduces to -75C, The condensate is separated from the bottom of deep cooler and filled into the oil-gas separating tank.

Performance and Features

1.Intrinsic safe and explosion-proof
The integrative vocs condensate and recovery unit is certified by Nanyang Explosion Institute. All components are explosive-proof approved. There is internal alarm for combustible gas and poisonous gas. Leakage can be detected immediately once it happens.
2. Low discharge rate
The integrative vocs condensate and recovery unit can match various purification processes, to treat VOCs through condensation, adsorption, catalytic oxidation and ozone purification, etc, It can achieve longtime stable running with extreme low discharge rate. Moreover, inspector can be installed for on-line concentration inspection according to national policy for VOCs control.
3. Compressor
Use famous international brands of semi-closed piston compressor or semi-closed screw compressor, flame-proof type or increased-safety type, with features of high efficient in cooling, stable and reliable operation, simple and fast maintenance, long service life. It can work safely in the environment with explosive gas.
4. Evaporator
The integrative vocs condensate and recovery uni is designed with pressure vessel. Pressure load is up to 10Bar, which can ensure the safety of the evaporator at flash explosion.
The evaporator’s inner part can be disassembled, which is easy for maintenance and clean. Plate type, fin and tube type, shell and tube type designs are optional.
5. Control System
There are manual and auto types for option. For auto type, there are operation and standby modes.
6. Basic Control
The integrative vocs condensate and recovery unit can automatically adjust operation status according to loading situation, for energy-saving purpose. Pre-cooler, shallow cool and deep cooler keep the evaporator at set temperature range by adjusting compressor discharge. When the loading fuel trucks increase, the compressor works at high discharge condition. When the trucks decrease, which can be detected from slow-down flow speed of oil/gas, the compressor turns to less discharge condition. If there is no loading, the unit is on standby.
7. Auto control system
Adopt PLC and touch screen auto control, simple and easy to control.
7″color touch screen can show the process status, operation situation and error clearly.
User manual, maintenance instruction and manual, error records can be checked easily on the touch screen.
8.Remote Control
The integrative vocs condensate and recovery unit can be remote monitored and controlled through communication, with Modbus RTU protocol and RS 485 interface.
